The krarክራር
A lyre with five or six strings, played by plucking or strumming. It is the sound of many traditional Tigrinya songs.
The wata and the keberoዋጣ · ከበሮ
The wata is a one-stringed fiddle played with a bow. The kebero is a large drum, played with the hands, that keeps the rhythm for singing and dancing.
Guaylaጓይላ
Guayla is the circle dance of celebrations: everyone moves together to a steady beat, with clapping and shoulder movements, the circle growing as more people join.
