Privacy

Meseretna is used by children, so this page is written to be read by a parent in a few minutes rather than by a lawyer in an hour. It describes what the service actually stores, which we have taken directly from the database schema rather than from a template.
The short version
- No advertising, and no advertising or tracking pixels of any kind.
- No selling or sharing of personal information with data brokers.
- No child email addresses, phone numbers, or home addresses.
- No location data.
- No microphone access unless a parent uses the pronunciation practice, and those recordings stay in the browser and are never uploaded.
- No public profiles, and no way for a stranger to contact a child.
What we hold about you, the account holder

What we hold about each child
A child does not have their own login or email address. They exist as a profile on your account, and everything below is visible to your family and to nobody else outside it.

Who else is involved
Running the service means a small number of companies necessarily handle some data on our behalf. We do not add any others for analytics or advertising.
Deleting things
You can remove a child’s photo at any time from their dashboard, and delete a child profile or the whole account from your account settings. Deleting a profile removes that child’s progress with it. Deleting the account removes everything in the tables above.
If anything does not delete the way this page says it should, that is a bug and we want to hear about it — tell us.

Changes
If this page changes in a way that affects what we collect or who sees it, we will email the address on the account before the change takes effect.
